our story

In 2020, Torstein and Eirik met through a mutual friend and
started building Pinecone Leadership together. They hit it
off immediately. Over time, what began as a working
partnership grew into something deeper: a brotherhood
forged through friction, flow, conflict, and trust.

After Pinecone, their paths diverged professionally. But
they were never more than a phone call away.

Then life did what life does.

Torstein lost his son.

What followed was the kind of grief that doesn't just wound,
it shatters.

Over the years since, he has rebuilt himself from the inside
out, emerging changed in ways that can't quite be
explained, only recognised by those who have been near
that kind of fire.

In early 2025, he facilitated a private retreat deep in the
Norwegian forest. One night, he woke in the dark with
something he could only call a vision:

A place where men are brought face to face with themselves.
Where nothing can be avoided. Where men can meet their
true and raw nature. And hold it all with care and sensitivity.

To build something like this, you need someone who has already stood in the darkest place with you.

Eirik Skarholt

He was there when Torstein put his own son in the grave — and with his own hands filled it.

When two men have stood together in that kind of darkness, there is nothing left to prove. There is only the work.

The first Ildfjell Summit is on the verge of happening.

Some things take years to become ready. This is one of them.
